7 ways to personalise your wedding

Posted: 24th Jun

Weddings are a personal affair and couples are always looking for ways to tell their love story on their big day. Here’s a round up of a few ways to add some personal touches to your celebration:

Create a personal hashtag

Get all your guests to use a hashtag on their social media for any imagery they share. For example, #AckerleyEverAfter

Soundtrack to love

There is nothing more personal than a soundtrack to your very own love story.  Create a custom Spotify playlist with all your favourite love songs.

Send out personalised save the date cards

Your save the date cards are the first taste your guests receive about the style and look of your wedding so make sure you put your own stamp on it. Why not feature your engagement photo or choose something that really suits your personality? Perhaps you both love to travel so create something in a ticket style.

Wedding nail art

Step away from the nude or baby pink nail polish and go for bold wedding nail art instead. Match the colour scheme to your wedding colours or your bouquet.

Pick a quirky wedding venue

If stately homes and barns just aren’t your thing then pick a venue that suits your personal style – gothic castles, pubs and even caves could be the perfect wedding venue for you!

Create DIY wedding centrepieces

A DIY wedding centrepiece is not only a great wedding budget hack, it will also give your day a really unique feel. You could make these together as a couple making a fun day out before the big day.

Create a cocktail

Give your bar a personal touch by serving bespoke cocktails – you can blend together your favourite flavours and create a name relevant to you both. Or, why not have Mr & Mrs cocktails, and both choose your own cocktail blend, then at the end of the night see which was more popular.
